ONLINE BIDDING FAQ:

Q. How do I participate in the online auction?
A. Go the Auction Information page and click on the Registration link and complete the registration form. Once you satisfy the banking requirements you will be approved and an email will be sent to you giving you the Bidder Number and Password. Then you just log in on auction day with your Bidder Number and Password and you are ready to bid live online.

Q. I didn't get my bidder number and password emailed to me!
A. Are you sure you typed the right email address? If so, contact us with your name and telephone number and we'll send you your bidder number and password. Please do not try to re-register.

Q. I can't see the entire bidding interface. It's too big!
A. The online bidding system is designed for screen resolutions of a minimum 800x600 resolution.

Q. Can I keep track of what I purchased online during the auction?
A. Yes, in the top Menu Bar is a My Purchases link, you can click on it at any time during the auction and it will keep an updated list of what you purchased and the prices. Remember that this list has not been confirmed with the Auctioneer until the auction is completed.

Q. Can I see the complete Sale Day Catalog while I am logged into the auction?
A. Yes, in the top Menu Bar is a Sale Day Catalog link, you can click on it at any time during the auction and the complete Catalog will open up in a new window including photographs. You can keep it open during the auction and minimize it for future reference.

Q. What do I do after the auction if I purchased anything?
A. The Auctioneer will prepare an invoice and fax the invoice to you, you send the Auctioneer the full amount and arrange to pickup your purchases.

Q. Why am I unable to see the Live Video Feed?
A. When you log into our online auction, our software will test your Internet Connection speed and if it is too slow, our system will not send you the Live Video Feed. This is to ensure that your bidding page is not delayed by sending the feed to your computer.

Q. Can you give me any hints on how to bid online?
A. It takes approximately sixty milliseconds from the time you click the bid button to the time that your bid is received by the auction administrator. System bid response is extremely fast, less than one tenth of a second. However, human reaction time comes to play as the administrator relays the bid to the auctioneer much as a ring man at the actual auction does. Given this simple fact that once your bid is received, it still must be relayed to and acknowledged by the auctioneer. The possibility exists that your bid may be missed or retracted if the auctioneer receives an on site bid at the same time as your bid comes in. If you are contemplating bidding on a particular item let the auction administrator know by placing bids early on the item. Don't wait until the lot is almost closed to try and enter a bid. If the auctioneer sees no activity on the Internet, they will not hesitate to sell the lot to the highest on site bidder. In most cases the auctioneer will allow you, the Internet bidder(s), an opportunity to place a bid as long as they know that you are in the bidding. Please keep in mind to bid quickly and early!
